Welcome to Aventura

Aventura is a tropical, cosmopolitan city located in north east of Miami. It evolved in the 1970’s after Turnberry Isle, a world-class luxury golf resort, spa and beach club, was constructed. At that time, the community that is now Aventura became synonymous with Turnberry, its prestigious waterfront property. This well-heeled resort community, the dazzling gem is located north east of Miami, incorporated in 1995 and has been referred to as Aventura ever since.

Residents and tourist seeking the holy grail of shopping, find it at Aventura Mall, the fifth largest mall in the country, Loehmann’s Fashion Island, Aventura Shopping Center, Aventura Commons, The Promenade Shops, and the Shoppes at the Waterways. Couture customers visit the elegant outdoor Bal Harbour Shops just a short distance away.

Turnberry Golf Course, located in the center of town, attracts resident and tourists to its famed course. Families enjoy passive and active recreation time at one of the many pristine parks such as Founder’s Park, Waterways Park and Veterans Park. Locals can be seen jogging the three mile picturesque route along Country Club Drive Circle, and enjoying the Arts at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center. Education is vital to the Aventura community where Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay branch and the top-rated Florida charter school, the Aventura City of Excellence School, is located.

Aventura is served by the fare-free Aventura Express shuttle bus, the Miami- Dade Transit, the Broward County transit and is close to Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach.
