As a neighborhood, The Wynwood Art District just north of Downtown Miami is the pinnacle of urban cool. the vibe is hip, and the refreshments are both tantalizingly savory and sweet.Art Wynwood, an International Contemporary Art Fair, held its inaugural art fair in 2012 and was enthusiastically received by artists, collectors, exhibitors, and art enthusiasts. Art Wynwood was embraced by the community and will be held annually over President’s Day Weekend. Visitors to Wynwood are not limited to the vibrant art scene as the Shops at Midtown next to Wynwood await them. Browse the department stores or grab a bite at one of its casual restaurants. If it’s deliciously different cuisine you’re craving, the Miami food trucks deliver. They descend upon Wynwood during the Art Walk serving everything from gourmet sliders and ethnic fare to outrageous confections.

The Design District was intended to showcase world-renowned interior design firms and home furnishing stores but has evolved to include other creative businesses such as photography studios, architecture firms and micro businesses that vie to share urban office space. The Design District comes alive at night where chic restaurants and ultra hip nightclubs attract a fashionable crowd. Some of Miami’s coolest events are held in the Design District where seductive space from buildings like the Moore Building can create the perfect ambience.

Take a tour of the Design District, Midtown and Wynwood and explore their hip boutiques and galleries including a three course lunch or dinner after the tour at one of the trendiest restaurants in town.
