Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce was created by George E. Merrick in 1925. It was created to enhance the quality of life and economic interests is its mission. The chamber consists of professionals and businesses who want to expand the economy of the area.

There are many opportunities to be involved with their 20 committees and subcommittees. The types of services that are available to the community such as great business advantages, renowned restaurants, extraordinary entertainment and world-class shopping are strengthened by the support of members, residents, local organizations and city officials.

The Chamber schedules several events to give business leaders the time to strengthen their relationships, network and connect with one another. Business leaders are encouraged to attend events such as the State of Florida legislative round-up, wind down Wednesday, trustee luncheon, 2014 golf classic tournament presented by Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc. Miami division, business education committee meeting, good morning Coral Gables, S.E.E. green committee meeting, IMPACT: a seminar series for small businesses, women’s business network luncheon, commercial real estate breakfast, small business committee meeting, cultural affairs committee meeting, trustee reception, tech task force meeting, M-Team committee meeting, trustee council meeting, global business committee meeting, healthcare task force meeting, women’s business network committee meeting and 20/30 group meeting. The Red Carpet Welcome program welcomes new companies and their employees. They are encouraged to get to know the community as well as retailers and restaurants. This program gives instant exposure to the chambers more than 1,500 business members and provides a welcome wagon service to companies that have relocated in the City Beautiful. They make their new neighbors feel welcome and their members will be able to create new business opportunities by rolling out the red carpet.
