Celebrating the Holidays with Greater Kendall Business Association
On December 14, 2019, the Greater Kendall Business Association (GKBA) hosted their Christmas party at Bahama Breeze in West Kendall. The event was a resounding success, with approximately 80 attendees coming together to celebrate the holiday season. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the warm weather, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 78 degrees. Attendees enjoyed an evening of camaraderie, networking, and giving back, as the entry fee for the event was a toy benefiting children in need, Toys for Tots. Among the guests were prominent figures such as Community Newspapers chief editor Michael Miller, University Credit Union President Michael Welch, and Richard Horton from the Green Companies, alongside GKBA board member Gilma Hernandez and her husband Ed Armenteros, which we affectionately refer to him to as “Gilma’s Husband”. Ed is known for his window covering business ArmHern interiors, he can be reached at 305-244-9399.
In the spirit of the holidays, the GKBA demonstrated its commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive business community. Events like these not only provide an opportunity for networking and building relationships but also serve as a reminder of the importance of giving back to those in need.
As Albert Schweitzer once said, “The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.” This sentiment resonates with the GKBA’s mission of community service and collaboration. Just as attendees came together to celebrate and support a worthy cause at the Christmas party, businesses within the GKBA continually strive to serve their community and make a positive impact.
The GKBA Christmas party exemplifies the organization’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive business community. By coming together to celebrate the holidays and support a charitable cause, members reaffirm their dedication to making a positive impact both professionally and philanthropically.
As we reflect on the success of the GKBA Christmas party, let us continue to support and engage with our local business community. Whether it’s attending networking events, volunteering for charitable initiatives, or patronizing local businesses, let’s work together to build a stronger, more vibrant Kendall community.
