In 1825, with an influx of immigration this Village began modestly when the Cape Florida lighthouse began operating. It has the ideal scenery for the community activities and many festivals. It is the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood in the city of Miami. Coconut  Grove is overflowing with joy and charm and its backdrop is Biscayne Bay and lush trees. Coconut Grove was annexed in 1925 by the city of Miami but has kept its uniqueness. Bohemian vibe came here in the 1950s with artists that enriched the city. Today the events remain the same with the famous Coconut grove Arts Festival.

Shopping is fantastic at CocoWalk with its open air mall you will find several art galleries, specialty stores, a 13 screen movie theater, nightclubs and many restaurants to please everyone’s taste buds.

There are many outstanding Public and Private schools. Coconut Grove elementary is and “A” school. Ransom Everglades founded in 1903 and the Academy of Arts and Minds Charter school founded in 2003 are among the best private schools to choose from.

There are more than a dozen interior parks with playgrounds, picnic areas, jogging paths and waterfront parks that are consistently maintained. Barnacle Historic State Park and Kampong botanical garden that are internationally known for nature. The most beautiful is the grand 1920s estate with manicured grounds known as Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
