West Kendall Car Show 4-11-2015

It was great to see a car show deep in West West Kendall. The last couple of years they would have a car show on 117th & 120th also in the Kendall area. Every month it would grow larger, but in late 2014 they stopped meeting at that location.
It all started with US Navy veteran Leo Montiel,  a muscle car enthusiast & Coral Park class of 82 alumni came down to visit family. He gathered around with some friends from High School at a local restaurant and one of those friends was Eddie Arango. Eddie is another Muscle car enthusiast, & he  looked at the shopping center where we had dinner at the new development on Kendall and 157th and said, this is a great spot for a car show. The rest was history. This show is projected to happen the 2nd Saturday of every month.
The “Show Stopper” was a 1971 Camaro Z28 with a small block 454. This car was intense, hence winning the “Show Stopper” award for April 2015!
