Puerto Rico extends water restrictions as drought worsens – Fx Report Daily

With Puerto Rico’s financial crisis escalating and statehood a masochistic fantasy, a multi-year transition to independence is the island’s best viable option. The island’s Government Development Bank (GDB) forked out only 8,000 of the million debt. The price of the commonwealth’s newest general-obligation bonds fell near a record low, with the island pushed to the …

Time to inventory your Swimsuits

I recently decided it was time to clean house of some old bathing suits. It’s shocking how many swimsuits we accumulate over the years! Some of mine either no longer fit me, or just weren’t in style anymore. So that got me thinking, I can’t be the only one who has this problem! I tossed the old suits and invested in some great new pieces. If you haven’t cleaned out your swimsuit drawer in a while, I highly recommend you do. Here are some suggestions for updating your swimsuit collection and what you need to look for when buying a bathing suit.
First, do some organizing. Open that swimsuit drawer and get rid of any suits you haven’t worn in over a year. There’s no reason in keeping a pile of swimsuits that are just collecting space. Also, if they are outdated, toss them. You not only want to look age appropriate when rocking a swimsuit, but it’s important to be on trend as well.
Next, once you’ve gotten rid of all the old suits and have decided which ones to keep, you can then decide if you need to go shopping. Remember, you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on bathing suits. There are tons of great stores that offer the same “designer look” at a fraction of the cost. I’ve linked some below in the photos. Before you’re ready to shop, follow these
Trends for picking the right bathing suit for you.
Keep it classic. As you know from experience, swimsuits tend to stay with you for a while. Therefore, when purchasing a bathing suit, choose one that can still be worn maybe five years from now, yet still look classy and on trend. Instead of splurging on a bathing suit with a wild print, go for a classic black or neutral colored suit. Remember, black never goes out of style!

Choose a bathing suit that is appropriate for your body. Let’s face it, bathing suits have a way of making women feel uncomfortable or self-conscious at times. Not everyone was born a Victoria’s Secret supermodel! Instead, we are perfect in God’s eyes. Whatever season you may be in your life, embrace it. So you gained a few pounds this year. Embrace it. Don’t let that stop you from rocking a bathing suit. The rule of thumb for women of all body types is to keep it modest and tasteful.
Lastly, dress up your swimsuit with some pops of color or accessories. I’m a hat lover so I almost always pair my suits with a cute hat. It protects my face from the sun and adds that fashionista touch. You can do the same, or you can purchase a bathing suit with a bold print (color blocking swimsuits are very in this season).  Pair it with some accessories and you’re ready to go!
Let me know in the comment section below where you like to purchase your bathing suits. I’ll post some of my fave places as well!

MIAMI SWIM WAS A LESSON IN WHY FASHION WEEKS NEED AN ORGANIZER

Attendees and participants in the annual Miami Swim Week found themselves in a tough spot when title sponsor Mercedes-Benz pulled out of the event earlier this year, along with chief organizer IMG. And with multiple production companies putting on shows — and no overarching governing body — the event was unsurprisingly disjointed for 2015.
Even the dates were unclear: While Funkshion, a production company that put on a series of shows, kicked things off on Wednesday, the first official day was Thursday. Clover Canyon started its presentation 30 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early (reportedly due to lack of attendees). [Update: A rep for Clover Canyon tells us that while the show did end early, it was not due to attendance.] The 6 Shore Road by Pooja runway show was continually postponed as PR rearranged guests in the first three rows. On account of that half an hour ordeal, very few of those guests and photographers made it to the next show on the schedule, Mia Marcelle. The circumstances brought the words of Jeremy Sommers of the Australia-based swim brand We Are Handsome to mind: “I really think it’s going to be chaos.” It arguably was.
