Unleashing Opportunities: My Journey at the Tap the Future Conference
I had the privilege of meeting Daymon James in the vibrant city of Miami Beach during the Tap the Future conference hosted by Miller Lite. The purpose of this event was clear: to empower entrepreneurs and foster innovation. Little did I know that this encounter would open doors to incredible opportunities, allowing me to connect with fellow business enthusiasts and gain invaluable insights.
Daymon James, the man behind this extraordinary event, had a vision – to support and promote budding entrepreneurs. He recognized the potential in our team and offered us the chance to collaborate. MiamiBusiness.com was tasked with promoting the conference, and as a result, we received ten complimentary tickets. It was a chance to extend the invitation to other aspiring entrepreneurs, creating a ripple effect of empowerment.
As we mingled with fellow attendees, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation. The energy was palpable, and Daymon James, a successful entrepreneur himself, shared his wisdom during a captivating Q&A session in the green room. His words resonated deeply with me, reminding me of a famous quote by Thomas Edison: “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
Much like Edison, Daymon James understood that success requires hard work and seizing opportunities, even when they may not appear glamorous at first glance. The Tap the Future conference exemplified this, as entrepreneurs came together to learn, grow, and forge connections that could transform their businesses.

Tap the Future event 2016

Miller Lite’s Tap the Future Event is Huge Success in Miami.
Miami business owners and entrepreneurs were captivated by Miller Lite’s Tap the Future Event. This extraordinary event provided encouragement, inspiration, and motivation to present and future business leaders. Business owners had the opportunity to share their own insight on how to achieve business goals. When Damon’s team called me to help them promote their event, I accepted the challenge to bring in some Miami business entrepreneurs. I had access to the press conference area in the back of the room along with the media, and it was a stellar experience. Damon is always smart and pleasant to deal with. The event not only showcased innovative ideas but also fostered meaningful connections among attendees, paving the way for potential collaborations and partnerships in the vibrant Miami business community.
My personal business contacts were impressed with the function and provided the following feedback:
The Tap the Future event was inspiring! As a CEO and entrepreneur, I related to the passion and drive of the entrepreneurs pitching their vision for their businesses, a lot of courage needed to pull that off. I found myself cheering for each of them and appreciated the creativity and innovation of each business idea. Daymond John was a great host, loved getting his signed book. I definitely won’t miss next year’s Tap the Future, great energy, vibe, and venue. – Jackie Matos & Associates
What an amazing opportunity we had last night to rub elbows and share stories with people hungry to live out their dream. Either we met people who were anxiously awaiting to explode off the starting line of entrepreneurship or we were meeting people like Daymond John who are well into their path and are looking to assist others along the way. Great opportunity to learn if we are willing to listen. #TapTheFuture is looking bright! Can’t wait for Next Year!!! -Albert Napoles
Just wanted to share what a great event the Miller Lite #TaptheFuture was last night at the Colony Theater. Not only did I get to meet and learn from my favorite shark, Daymon John, but I received an autographed book and photo opp! He even answered one of my questions that I sent in via Twitter – amazing opportunity. Kudos to the organizers for putting on a great event and congratulations to all the startups who got to pitch (and of course the winner!). Great experience, fun and an awesome crowd! – Otmara “Omi” Diaz-Cooper
As a public servant for nearly 20 years, women’s ministry leader, youth mentor and breast cancer survivor, I have had the privilege of meeting dynamic, interesting, and inspiring people throughout my life’s journey. Some leave lasting impressions, including a desire to know more about the circumstances that have shaped their lives and personalities. Daymond John is one such person. In what appears to be a world growing colder, more unkind and more self-centered, why does such an accomplished man desire to share his knowledge, experience, and kindness with those aspiring to follow his example by way of local events such as Tap The Future? Well, I asked him. Daymond’s response was a refreshing reminder that he, like many of us, simply desires to help others find the best future that God has for them. “Great question Christine, I help because I do care. I have no doubt that if someone called you to ask for advice on their career that you would never close the door in their face. I am no different from you. Though you are right that the world appears to be growing darker, there is still so much good in it that we don’t see publicized.” I am grateful for the evening, blessed to have met Daymond and look forward to reading his new book, The Power Of Broke. – Christine Zahralban
I really enjoyed this experience because of the opportunities it created for me. The opportunities I took away from the event were in networking, confidence, and learning. The Tap the Future Event was a great venue for networking conversations with entrepreneurs from so many business sectors (consulting, design, education, etc.). Each conversation was inspiring and rewarding. I gained confidence because I found myself relating to various guests and competition participants. Hearing their entrepreneurial story has provided more confidence to continue to push mine forward. I was able to learn by observing the questions Daymond and co-judges asked and answered throughout the event. Their insight and comments provided a good set of filters I should be asking myself when evaluating my business plan and pitch. I look forward to attending the next Tap the Future event as a competitor in 2017. – Johann Cabrera Kunhardt
I think the event was a great opportunity for people from the South East to pitch their business ideas to skilled entrepreneurs, including famous Shark Tank cast member, Daymond James. The event allowed them to follow through with a dream or idea, research its possibilities, and prepare a business plan for it. Not only do the contestants learn from the preparation, the process, and the feedback they receive, but they are presented with a great opportunity to have their ideas funded without having to give up equity. That, along with the support and networking opportunities from Miller Coors and the judges, is a great benefit to any entrepreneur. – Jannette Melo
Attendees are looking forward to next year’s event and beginning their preparations. Business leaders and entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend next year’s Miller Lite Tap the Future event. The opportunity, exposure, and knowledge gained from the event will increase your ability in business.
