Our office is located in Coconut Grove which has some of the best waterfront parks and public spaces Miami has to offer. Locals love to spend time near the water exercising at Kennedy Park, and at Shake A Leg Miami on beautiful Biscayne Bay. This waterfront center includes a marina equipped with sailboats, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, a boatyard, a rooftop observation deck, and eco islands. Peacock Park also hosts a number of events throughout the year such as the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival, the Coconut Grove Art’s Festival, Woodystock and others, including free Yoga in the Park on Tuesday nights. The Convention Center was recently torn down and the City is working on opening another waterfront park in its location, which is conveniently located across the street from two of Miami’s latest residential towers, Park Grove and Grove at Grand Bay. These two projects will have stunning bay views and are located in the heart of Coconut Grove on Bayshore Drive.

Puerto Rican street artist Bikismo ended Art Basel Week with a bang with the completion of a shiny new mural down in Wynwood. Painted for the RAW Project (Re-imagining the Arts in Wynwood), Bikismo’s piece sits on a wall of Jose De Diego Middle School and depicts a playful metallic dog with its butt in the air. The level of detail is absolutely insane, with the dog’s body resembling reflections on sculptures like Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate in Chicago or Jeff Koons’ Rabbit, which makes it easy to forget that it was done entirely in spray paint on a flat surface.

PAPERMAG: Art Basel Miami Beach 2014: What’s Happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Tim Burton’s new film Big Eyes headlines the AB/MB film program with a special screening on December 5th, 8:30 p.m., at the Colony Theatre on Lincoln Road.  It’s the story of Walter Keane, the mysterious painter of waifs with “big eyes,” who’s works turned out to have actually been made by his wife Margaret.  In the film, she’s played by Amy Adams.  The screening is free, but get there super early.  Many other films submitted by participating galleries will be shown in a new, specially-designed screening room inside the convention center and nightly in SoundScape Park outside the New World Symphony (500 17th Street, South Beach).  The complete schedule is HERE.
